The Notus Clean Energy wind turbine was installed during summer 2010 on a remote hilltop in the Falmouth Technology Park. It is a Vestas model V82, rated 1.65 MW, with 80 meter hub height.
To date, the turbine has generated over thirty four million kWh (34 GWh) of electricity, equivalent to the usage of 670 average Massachusetts homes. This has displaced emissions of over 15,000 tons of carbon dioxide from regional electric generation plants.
Every day, on average, Notus Clean Energy LLC displaces emissions of six tons of CO2
(per marginal emission data from ISO New England, the regional grid operator).
